On September 4, 2025, at St. George School, it was Mrs. Steiner’s birthday. The middle school students surprised her with a table of cookies in the shape of a Rosary surrounding a bouquet of flowers.
Staff: Do you have any special plans for your birthday?
Mrs. Steiner: Dinner with kids and grandkids.
Staff: What is your favorite type of cake?
Mrs. Steiner: Apple cake with caramel on top. Now I have never heard of that type of cake.
Staff: If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you turning today?
Mrs. Steiner: I am turning 27 years old.
Staff: How did you like the surprise?
Mrs.Steiner: (laughing) I wasn’t thinking about my birthday all day until I got called to the office and I said oh no that’s not good. When you’re my age, you don’t think about it being your birthday at all. You have other things to do than worry about your birthday.
Staff: If you could have one gift today, what would it be?
Mrs. Steiner: (thinking/laughing) The surprise from the school.
