St. George Faith Groups Meet for First Time This School Year
Anchored in Hope, Linked by Virtues

On September 18th, St. George School gathered for Faith Groups. Faith groups are when all of the classes split into groups and learn about God through virtues. This time groups went to their designated classrooms to watch an informational video about hope. Hope is trusting in God’s loving plan. Mrs. Mazzocchio, the Faith Groups leader, said, “Hope is the main lesson for faith groups this month.”  This event was put on to bond as a school and understand the true meaning of hope. Mrs. Mazzocchio said that, “Hope should not be hoping for things like a big present, but hoping for things that will make you better as a person.” She also said to put our hope in something strong like God. Once a month they also have Mass with their Faith Groups. Mrs. Mazzocchio said she enjoys being the leader very much and loves planning activities that are fun for all ages and that the school can do together. Next month’s Faith Groups will meet about studiousness.
